Policies - Returns


Our goal at South Wind Fan & Light is to provide high quality products combined with exceptional customer service. In the event you must return or exchange a purchase, full details of our Return Policy is listed for your convenience..

RETURN POLICY
No returns of any type are accepted, credited or returned without a valid Return Goods Authorization number.

In the event you must return or exchange a purchase the following terms apply:
  • Inspect your merchandise immediately upon receipt. If the merchandise was damaged during shipping, please contact us via email at orders@ceiling-fans.biz immediately. We suggest you retain your original packaging until you have thoroughly inspected your order.
  • Contact South Wind Fan & Light at orders@ceiling-fans.biz for a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number within 30 days from the date of original shipment. The RGA number should be clearly marked on the return shipping label.

    No returns will be accepted or returned without a valid RGA number!
  • Damaged or Defective Merchandise - If you experience any technical problems with your purchase, such as fan motor problems, please contact us via email at orders@ceiling-fans.biz or via phone at 866-476-6585. You can also contact the manufacturer; the manufacturer contact information is included with the product information included in your shipment. You must contact us within thirty (30) days from your receipt of product for an RGA number to replace any damaged or defective product.
    Please note: after thirty (30) days from your receipt of merchandise all
    repairs or replacement of defective products must be directed to the
    manufacturer under the terms of the manufacturer product warranty.

  • General Returns - If you are unsatisfied with your purchase and the item has not been installed, is undamaged and in its original packaging and the return request is less than 30 days from date of shipment, contact us at orders@ceiling-fans.biz for a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number. Product returned must include an RGA number and will be accepted less a 25% manufacturer’s restocking fee and any applicable return shipping and credit card transaction fees after product is received and inspected.
    Product must be returned freight prepaid, unused in its original condition with all parts intact. A credit will not be issued if the merchandise is returned without an RGA number, not the original, unused product invoiced or if the product is not returned properly re-packaged in the original packaging.
  • ComfortZone 30 Day Money Back Guarantee - If, within 30 days of your receipt of the unit, you are not satisfied with the performance of your ComfortZone unit, you must contact us within 30 days of your receipt of the unit for a Returned Goods Authorization number. We will provide an RGA and repacking and shipping instructions. The unit must be returned correctly repackaged in the original shipping materials, include the instruction and remote and be in new condition with no signs of damage or wear/tear to the unit. No credit will be issued if the unit is not returned in the original packaging material, missing any components or shows obvious signs of misuse (cabinet dents, scratches, etc.), or does not have a valid Return Goods Authorization number.

    ORDER CANCELLATION

    Cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of your original order placement. If the order has not been processed by the manufacturer, you will be able to request cancellation. Please contact us at orders@ceiling-fans.biz. PLEASE NOTE: Cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee of the greater of 25% or $50. Orders cannot be cancelled after the manufacturer has processed and/or shipped an item. If an order has been processed or shipped by the manufacturer, you will have the option to return the purchase under the General Returns procedure. A Return Authorization Number is required for all returns.

    All replacement parts, open box sales and clearance items are sold on an "All Sales are Final" basis and returns are not accepted nor credited.

    WEBSITE INFORMATION ERRORS

    We strive to provide the most accurate information possible on our website.
    But, we’re only human! The text and pictures of items on our website are provided by the product manufacturers and are the same or similar to the manufacturer’s published print or online catalog. All manufacturer’s pictures are professionally photographed; however, products may look different once installed.

    As ceiling fan and lighting manufacturers strive for EPACT compliance, we can not guarantee the wattage for light fixtures. The images may still illustrate a medium base bulb. However, please be advised that the EPACT act requires manufacturers to change to candelabra or CFL bulbs. Fixtures with images displaying medium base bulb sockets will NOT have medium base bulb sockets.

    Due to finish application and variations in picture resolution and color, product finish and glass may vary from online images. Ceiling-fans.biz is not responsible for the variation in product or for any variation in product description, image or specfication provided by the manufacturer.

    DELIVERY TIMES

    Delivery times vary by manufacturer, however, delivery is generally within 7-10 business days of your order placement. Delivery times are not guaranteed, however we take all necessary actions to insure your order is delivered as quickly as possible utilizing our standard shipping methods. We check each order for product availability but items may still become backordered after the order has been placed. We will promptly notify our customers if an item has been backordered and has a lead time exceeding 30 days.

    SALES TAX

    We charge sales tax on all orders shipped to Pennsylvania addresses. All customers outside the state of Pennsylvania are accepting responsibility to pay their own sales or use tax to their state, city or local municipality on any purchase from South Wind Fan & Light, ceiling-fans.biz.

    ORDER ACCURACY

    Please check the accuracy or your order. It is the customer responsibility to ensure the order placed online is accurate. South Wind Fan & Light will not assume any responsiblity or cost to exchange items purchased in error.
